Ship at Moss Landing

For most of 2009, I’ve been getting more immersed in utilizing social media communications for online marketing projects for my clients. I find many resources for content through blogs and Twitter.  Facebook friends often share articles and videos that are very informative.  LinkedIn Groups are a great way to tap into a variety of people for feedback and direction.

Links to social media platforms are included in most of my marketing newsletters to extend the reach and message of my clients.  I recently conducted a training session on blogging for  career and health care professionals who are providing guidance and resources for readers who need it.  It’s an ideal vehicle for sharing and interaction and is a growing presence in a variety of industries.

Netvibes.com provides a free desktop application for managing online content.  It is an outstanding tool for keeping everything together.  Lethia Owens, a Personal Branding and Social Media Strategist, created an informative tutorial on getting started:

Several months ago, I started building a social media strategy for a non-profit business.  I solicited advice in one of my LinkedIn groups and received 20 responses from all over the country.  That is one of the major advantages of being able to reach out and touch people online.  Collaboration rocks!
